An epic musical drama depicting the preface to Seetha and Rama's wedding.

Sreeni, a simpleton has a high paying job in Bangalore. His mother, who is traditional to the core, is looking for the perfect match for him. Sreeni is a butt of the joke among his female colleagues and they tease him by pretending to flirt with him. The leader among them is Nimisha. Their relationship is purely platonic. Meanwhile, his mother succeeds in finding a traditional girl in Abhirami; brought up in an Aghraharam. Later, Nimisha realizes all on a sudden one day, that she had been long in love with Sreeni. Abhi, on the other hand has her own personal battles to deal with, since she had always been in love with Ambi.

Seetharamu is a 1979 Indian Kannada-language film directed by V. Somashekhar. The film stars Shankar Nag, Manjula and Thoogudeepa Srinivas. The film is based on a science fiction plot of a brain transplant. The movie was remade in Telugu as Seethe Ramudaithe, starring Shankar Nag in his Telugu debut, and in Hindi in 1995 as Diya Aur Toofan. The song Ee Roopave Nannee Baalina was earlier used by Chellapilla Satyam for the 1978 Telugu movie Annadammula Savaal, which incidentally was a remake of the 1977 Kannada movie Sahodarara Savaal.

Kalyan (Pawan Kalyan) is a careless and spoiled brat of a rich man Muddu Krishnayya (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Kalyan has every weakness that a rich and careless youth can have, and Baburao (sudhakar) helps him in all his activities.

Pawan, a Casanova and spoiled brat, tries to woo Sirisha and later falls for her. He starts mending his ways for his love, as his past traits creates disturbances in his love life.

Madan (Sivaji Ganesan) and Lalitha (Jayalalitha) are in love with each other. She is the second daughter of a businessman, Dharmalingam (Thangavelu). While seeking her hand in marriage, Dharmalingam lays down a condition that all his daughters' weddings are to be held simultaneously thereby entrusting Madan with the unenviable task of finding suitable grooms for his other daughters. Madan seeks the help of his friend, Chandran (Nagesh) in his mission. Madan, however, soon realizes that he has a Herculean task ahead of him - the eldest daughter Rathna (Manorama) is averse to getting married. The others have their own tastes and preferences. After encountering a lot of difficulties, they manage to find grooms for all of them. However, on the wedding eve, one of the grooms goes missing... Does Madan trace him?
